National Parks in Iceland
Iceland has many national parks that showcase the country’s impressive natural bounty. One such place is the Vatnajokull National Park. It features ice caps, glaciers and active sub-glacial volcanoes. Meanwhile, the Thjorsarver wetlands have a unique ecosystem.

Skaftafell National Park
They also have stunning geography with tundra meadows, glacial streams, lakes and marshes. The Landmannalaugar Nature Reserve is located in a valley near the awesome sight of Laugahraun, a rhyolite lava field. Skaftafell National Park, on the other hand, is situated in glacier country. It has an area that covers the three valley glaciers of Morsárjökull, Skeiðarárjökull and Skaftafellsjökull. Finally, there is Thingvellir National Park. It is situated near the Hengill volcanic area and the Reykjanes peninsula.
