Historical Places in Iceland
The country of Iceland has a rich history, and there are many sites that reflect this. One of these historical places is Skalholt Church. It can be found in the Biskupstungur valley.

Skalholt Church
The church is noteworthy for witnessing some of the most significant events that shaped the history of Iceland. Oddi Church was built in the 11th century, making it one of the oldest buildings in the country. It also served as a cultural and political centre for several centuries. Keldur farm is an ancient structure that was mentioned in a number of sagas, including the famous Njala. It is situated to the north of two villages, Hvolsvöllur and Hella.
